1EIGHT Parks has recently been announced as a Finalist across multiple categories in the 2022 Caravan Parks Association of Queensland Awards (CPAQ). The Awards recognise outstanding individuals and businesses who are making an impact within the Caravan Parks industry.
Of the 11 awards, the 1EIGHT Parks team have finalists in four categories including:
Terry Colvin of Mission Beach Camping and Caravan Park for Employee of the Year
Boreen Point Campground for Outstanding Host
Toorbul Caravan Park for Team of the Year
Tiarna-Lee Mackie of Toorbul Caravan Park for the Simon Warner Memorial Young Achiever of the Year Award
With a record 65 nominations, the judges reportedly had a tough time choosing finalists. As a relatively new entrant to Queensland's Holiday Park industry, we're so proud of our team's achievements.
The Employee of the Year Award recognises an employee from within the industry who consistently goes above and beyond during their work day. For those who know Park Manager, Terry Colvin of Mission Beach Camping and Caravan Park, they know just how much effort he puts in each and every day. Terry has managed the park through a period of significant transition, overseeing development works, all while delivering exceptional service to our guests.
The Outstanding Host award recognise the caravan park and their staff that provide amazing service to each and every guest that walks through the door. This award recognises positive and consistent feedback from guests, something the team at Boreen Point Campground consistently achieve.
The Team of the Year award recognises a team from within the industry who consistently go above and beyond in their duties every day while the the Young Achiever of the Year Award recognises a young person who has a bright future within our industry. We could not be more proud of the team at Toorbul Caravan Park who are well led by young achiever of the Year nominee, Tiarna. The tight-knit team show loyalty to one another, passion for their roles and pride for the Caravan Park, all while delivering an incredible experience for guests.
Finalists will be celebrated at the CPAQ Awards night with winners announced Monday 28 March 2022.
