Situated a 4-hour drive north of Brisbane and 3-hours from the Sunshine Coast, the Bundaberg Region has so much to offer.
Weave through fields of agricultural which combined, form one of Australia's greatest food bowls. Paddock to plate experiences are aplenty in the region. Pick your own strawberries at Tinaberries in the spring or enjoy fresh fruity ice creams all year round. Grab some ginger bites, pickled ginger, or tumeric from Bunda Ginger. Or, for a combined experience, stop in at Indulge Cafe and enjoy a seasonal breakfast or lunch menu featuring food that's nurtured, picked and prepared by local producers. The drinks are also world famous in Bundaberg. In addition to the Bundaberg distillery - the famed birthplace of Bundaberg Rum, there's a number of other breweries and gin and cider distilleries in the region.
Once your belly is full, a lazy afternoon at the beach might be just what the Doctor ordered. Choose from a range of absolutely picturesque beaches which provide offshore access to the southern most point of the Great Barrier Reef. Four of the best beach locations include Woodgate, Elliott Heads, Bargara and Moore Park Beach. Offshore, you'll also find Lady Elliott Island and Lady Musgrave Island.
